Recap: Catholic Memorial Knights vs. Wellesley Raiders

With a playoff game on the line, the Catholic Memorial Knights rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on Wellesley with a sharp 42-21 win. Considering Catholic Memorial has won four matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Robby Broggi, who picked up 171 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Bobby Shanahan was another key contributor, throwing for 239 yards and a touchdown.

Catholic Memorial has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 6-2 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.45 points. As for Wellesley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Catholic Memorial will take on Marshfield at TBD on Friday. One thing working in Marshfield's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven games. Wellesley will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Needham at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd.
