Football Recap: Greensburg Salem Comes Up Short

Greensburg Salem was the 7-0 winner over Ringgold when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Lions lost 33-13 to the Rams on Friday. The Golden Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.

Despite the loss, Greensburg Salem still got an impressive performance from Brody Chismar, who threw for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 72 yards.

Greensburg Salem's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ringgold, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greensburg Salem will face off against Ambridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ringgold, they will take on Southmoreland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Scotties' defense has only allowed 7.8 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them.
