Baseball Game Preview: Osseo Orioles vs. Andover Huskies

The Osseo Orioles will square off against the Andover Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Osseo has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight defeats, while Andover will come in with three straight victories.

On Thursday, Osseo didn't have quite enough to beat Blaine and fell 9-8.

Andover came out on top against Spring Lake Park on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Huskies took their match against the Panthers 6-1.

Logan Nistler tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Drew Law was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.

Andover pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Osseo, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
