Basketball Recap: New Prague Comes Up Short

New Prague lost against Orono back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The New Prague Trojans took a 74-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orono Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Spartans are ranked fifth).

New Prague's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Orono, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Prague will square off against St. Louis Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orono, they will face off against Chaska at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
