Baseball Recap: Collingswood Has No Trouble Against Haddon Township

After only two runs in their last matchup, Collingswood made sure to put some runs up on the board against Haddon Township on Tuesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 12-6 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Miles DeVincentis made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. DeVincentis was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Collingswood let Jairo Mendoza and Chase Ladik run wild. Mendoza scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Ladik scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Those three runs gave Mendoza a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of John Antrilli, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

The victory got Collingswood back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collingswood will venture away from home to challenge Haddon Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Haddon Township, they will face off against Sterling at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
