Basketball Recap: Eastmark Falls Short of Flagstaff in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastmark can now relate to. The match between the Eastmark Firebirds and the Flagstaff Eagles didn't end well, with the Eastmark Firebirds falling 44-30. The game marked the Firebirds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Leading Flagstaff to victory were Teagan Martin and Sunshine Begoody. Martin almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards, while Begoody shot 71% from the field en route to 13 points. What's more, Begoody also posted a 75% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January.

Eastmark's defeat dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Flagstaff, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Eastmark nor Flagstaff have any future games scheduled.
