Volleyball Recap: Elk Mound Finds Home Court Redemption Against Fall Creek

There's no place like home for Elk Mound, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Fall Creek Crickets on Thursday.

Elk Mound had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-10, 25-22, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Kendra Garnett and Loftyn Awe, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Taylor Frinack and her 33 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Elk Mound's win bumped their record up to 16-17. As for Fall Creek, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-20.

As of now, neither Elk Mound nor the Crickets have any future games scheduled.
