Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Providence Day's 11th in Last 12 Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grace Christian, Providence Day was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Greensboro Day School Bengals by a score of 58-50. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Chargers considering their 21-point performance the matchup before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Providence Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ginny Anne Dumont, who posted 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Dumont is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Julia O?Malley, who put up nine points and seven rebounds.

Providence Day is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Greensboro Day School, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 13-6.

When Providence Day and Greensboro Day School next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Providence Day will try to stop Covenant Day's eight-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Greensboro Day School will try to stop Forsyth Country Day's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
