Basketball Recap: Horizon Science Academy Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Horizon Science Academy hadn't done well against Wellington School recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Horizon Science Academy Hawks walked away with a 63-51 victory over the Wellington School Jaguars. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks , who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Horizon Science Academy pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Wellington School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon Science Academy and Utica will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Horizon Science Academy is facing Utica at the right time seeing as Utica is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Wellington School, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Miller at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
