Basketball Recap: Troyce Harrison and Jace Johnson Secure Win for Patterson

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Patterson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Manteca Buffaloes by a score of 63-56. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-47 back in January.

Leading Patterson to victory were Jace Johnson and Troyce Harrison. Johnson dropped a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds, while Harrison dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten boards. The Tigers are 3-1 when Harrison posts 20 or more points, but 9-12 otherwise.

Manteca's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rehan Awan, who posted 14 points. Awan is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Antonio Fraley, who had 12 points and five boards.

Patterson moved to 12-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Manteca, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.

Patterson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-47 defeat against Mountain House on the 6th. As for Manteca, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-64 victory against Sierra on the 6th.
