Marquette came tearing into Saturday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Forreston Cardinals. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Marquette pushed their record up to 28-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Forreston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 25-7 record this season.

Marquette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forreston, they will host Rochelle at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
