Baseball Recap: Corsicana Takes a Loss

Corsicana dropped their record down to 16-7-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Ennis Lions by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Tigers haven't been shut out since back in March.

As for Ennis, they now have a winning record of 13-12-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for they as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

For Ennis' part, not much got past Kevin Rodriguez, who gave up just two hits to keep Corsicana off the board. Rodriguez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Corsicana does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ennis, they will face off against Red Oak at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
