Volleyball Recap: Gregory Gorillas vs. Stuart Broncos
Gregory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Stuart Broncos. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gorillas of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
While Gregory had to take the loss, they sure made a game of it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-8, 25-22.
Stuart can attribute much of their success to Elly Steinhauser, who had 13 digs.
Gregory's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Stuart, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.
Gregory will square off against Todd County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stuart, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win vs. Boyd County on the 19th.
