Basketball Game Preview: Varela Vipers vs. Southwest Eagles + How To Watch

The Varela Vipers will face off against the Southwest Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Varela has three straight wins, Southwest has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Wednesday, Varela beat Mater Brickell Academy 74-63.

Meanwhile, Southwest managed to keep up with Booker T. Washington until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles lost 54-32 to the Tornadoes.

Varela's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Southwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Varela came up short against Southwest when the teams last played back in January, falling 60-54. Can the Vipers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
