Basketball Recap: Woodlawn-B.R. Comes Up Short

Woodlawn-B.R. has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the John Curtis Christian Patriots on Friday, falling 53-30. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Patriots are ranked third).

Woodlawn-B.R.'s defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for John Curtis Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodlawn-B.R. won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Edna Karr at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for John Curtis Christian, they will host Destrehan at 6:30 p.m. on December 27th.
