Basketball Game Preview: McIntosh Chiefs vs. Banneker Trojans

The McIntosh Chiefs will take on the Banneker Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

McIntosh is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They walked away with a 51-43 win over Lovejoy on Friday.

Meanwhile, Banneker blew past Towers, posting a 60-33 victory.

McIntosh's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Banneker, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Everything came up roses for McIntosh against Banneker in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 66-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for McIntosh since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
