Soccer Game Preview: Glass vs. Appomattox County

The Glass Hilltoppers will square off against the Appomattox County Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Glass knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Appomattox County likes a good challenge.

Glass' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Amherst County as they made off with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Glass, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Appomattox County was able to grind out a solid win over Altavista on Friday, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Appomattox County.

Riley Fulcher and Lindsay Kidd scored both of Appomattox County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4-2. As for Glass, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Glass was able to grind out a solid victory over Appomattox County in their previous matchup back in March, winning 4-2. Will the Hilltoppers repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
