Baseball Recap: Rockcastle County Comes Up Short

Rockcastle County lost against South Laurel back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Rockcastle County fell just short of South Laurel by a score of 5-4. Rockets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cardinals since on Tuesday.

Rockcastle County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Thacker, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Those runs marked the first that Thacker scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Rockcastle County and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for South Laurel, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockcastle County will welcome Clay County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Laurel, they will host Harlan County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
