Football Recap: Temple Christian Comes Up Short

Temple Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Faustina Academy Falcons 59-14.

Despite the defeat, Temple Christian had strong showings from William Roberts, who rushed for 28 yards and two scores, and Enzo Lopez, who picked up 95 receiving yards. Lopez got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 59 yards.

Temple Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Faustina Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temple Christian will head out to take on Azle Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Faustina Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Forestburg at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
