Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lander Valley). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Wind River Cougars 82-24. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Cougars are ranked 63rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Lander Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 11-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points over those games. As for Wind River, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Powell has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 196 points over their last three matchups. As for Wind River, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-22 defeat against Hot Springs County on the 20th.
