Basketball Game Preview: Berkner Rams vs. Richardson Eagles

Berkner is 1-9 against Richardson since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Berkner Rams will host the Richardson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Berkner's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 26 games.

Berkner took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pearce 62-34.

Meanwhile, Richardson didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against MacArthur on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 63-59 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Cardinals are ranked 682nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Berkner is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Richardson, their victory bumped their record up to 22-10.

Berkner skirted past Richardson 57-54 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Berkner have another victory up their sleeve, or will Richardson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
