Basketball Recap: Encinal Takes a Loss

If Encinal was feeling good fresh off their 74-50 takedown of Balboa last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Encinal Jets took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hayward Farmers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jets of the 45-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Encinal's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Hayward, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Encinal won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Alameda at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hayward, they will welcome Arroyo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
