Kingwood Park had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.4 goals) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Splendora Wildcats a 2-0 shutout. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Wildcats are ranked 555th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kingwood Park's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those eight games. As for Splendora, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
