Preview: Daniel Lions vs. West-Oak Warriors

Daniel is 9-1 against West-Oak since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Daniel Lions will be playing at home against the West-Oak Warriors at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Daniel has five straight wins, West-Oak has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

In what's become a running theme this season, Daniel gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 88-52 victory over Walhalla on the road. Given Daniel's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Walhalla is ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Daniel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Simms Disbrow out in front who scored 21 points along with seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristyn Carrington, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.

West-Oak suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-35 loss at the hands of Pendleton. West-Oak was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.

Daniel has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for West-Oak, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Daniel took their victory against West-Oak in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 46-20. Does Daniel have another victory up their sleeve, or will West-Oak turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
