Baseball Recap: Emerald Ridge Comes Up Short

Emerald Ridge extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 14-10 in the process. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kennedy Catholic Lancers. That's two games in a row now that the Jaguars have lost by exactly four runs.

As for Kennedy Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games.

For Kennedy Catholic's part, Harvey Lieberman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Will Cahill, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Elliot Kelley-Petersen, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

As of now, neither Emerald Ridge nor Kennedy Catholic have any future games scheduled.
