            Baseball Recap: Carson Senators vs. Bishop Manogue Miners        
        
		
        
        
            Carson was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They took  a  9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Manogue Miners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  14-3  on April 12th.
Carson got a good showing from  Max Mendoza, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Mendoza has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Carson saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kodie Campbell, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run.
Carson's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Bishop Manogue, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Carson will  take on  rival Galena  at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bishop Manogue is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Spanish Springs  at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday.
