League recap: Valley Christian and Village Christian to meet this week in 1 vs. 2 battle

Olympic league recap: 5/7/12

On May 10, 2012, the top two teams in the current league standings will go head to head, as Valley Christian and Village Christian meet. The Crusaders currently hold a 1.00-game lead over the Crusaders for first place.

Behind a 1-0 record over the past week, Valley Christian made the biggest jump in the national rankings, all the way from 484 to 448.

Although the Crusaders gave up only eight hits last week, fewest in the league, Los Angeles Baptist leads Olympic with just 118 allowed all season.

Brandon Ortiz garnered four hits in four at bats during Village Christian's 5-4 victory over Whittier Christian on May 4, 2012. He rounded out his day with two runs batted in and one runs scored.
