Independence was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Liberty Raiders 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won three in a row.

Independence was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 25 points. The final score came out to 0-25, 25-0, 25-0.

Independence's win bumped their record up to 11-16-6. As for Liberty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-10-3.

Coincidentally, Independence and Liberty will both be playing Wyoming East the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
