Basketball Recap: Farmingdale Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Farmingdale can now relate to. They took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Port Washington Vikings on Sunday. While losing is never fun, the Dalers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Vikings are ranked 85th).

Farmingdale has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. The victory (which was Port Washington's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Farmingdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Port Washington, they will face off against East Meadow at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. East Meadow will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Port Washington surely won't give up without a fight.
