Soccer Game Preview: Spring Woods vs. Milby

The Spring Woods Tigers will head out to take on the Milby Buffs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Woods will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Spring Woods' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Sterling 8-0. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Milby was a bit more limited in their contest back in January. They lost 3-0 to Galena Park. The Buffs have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Spring Woods has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-1-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those six games. As for Milby, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Spring Woods came out on top in a nail-biter against Milby in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spring Woods since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
