Softball Recap: Tattnall Square Academy Trojans vs. George Walton Academy Bulldogs
Tattnall Square Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the George Walton Academy Bulldogs 14-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.
Callie Still made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Still was even better at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, Tattnall Square Academy got a massive performance out of Anna Still, who went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Kemp, who went 1-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and a stolen base.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Tattnall Square Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. The last time their OBP was this high was back in September of 2023.
Tattnall Square Academy will head out on the road to challenge Westfield School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tattnall Square Academy is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for George Walton Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Piedmont Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
