Softball Recap: Crivitz Beats Sturgeon Bay for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Crivitz waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Sturgeon Bay Clippers by a score of 7-2.

Isabelle Danielczak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hattie Frievalt was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Hadley Scheuerman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Crivitz's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Sturgeon Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Coincidentally, Crivitz and Sturgeon Bay will both be playing Sevastopol the next time they take the field. The Clippers will head out to face the Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wolverines will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
