Preview: Daniel Lions vs. Camden Bulldogs

Daniel has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Camden Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Daniel had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They snuck past Belton-Honea Path with a 28-23 victory on Friday.

Among those leading the charge was Kolton Chapman, who rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 144 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Camden entered their tilt with Brookland-Cayce with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Camden strolled past Brookland-Cayce with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 46-30.

It was another big night for Grayson White, who rushed for 74 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 351 yards while completing 74.2% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Averee Hickmon, who rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Daniel has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 14-0 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.75 points. As for Camden, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Daniel took their victory against Camden in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 by a conclusive 45-20. Will Daniel repeat their success, or does Camden have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
