Softball Recap: Lancaster Has No Trouble Against Southwestern

Lancaster barely beat Southwestern the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Flying Arrows put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 8-1 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Flying Arrows, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Emma Jensen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Aleah Jackering was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Southwestern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Lancaster will square off against Platteville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwestern, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Boscobel at 5:00 p.m. The Wildcats are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
