Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warrior Run). They put the hurt on the Mifflinburg Wildcats with a sharp 20-7 victory on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Defenders, who have now won eight matchups in a row.

Griffen Harrington made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Harrington was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Tillson, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Cohen Zechman was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

Warrior Run always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .548 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Warrior Run pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mifflinburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warrior Run will square off against Bloomsburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Defenders are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Mifflinburg, they will take on Lewisburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
