Soccer Recap: Firebaugh Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Firebaugh can now relate to. They fell just short of the Liberty Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Firebaugh couldn't quite close it out.

Firebaugh now has a losing record of 14-15-2. As for Liberty, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8-8.

Firebaugh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they will face off against Taft at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Taft will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
