Basketball Recap: Oak Harbor Takes a Loss

Oak Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Genoa Area Comets 66-38. The Rockets lost against the Comets in their previous head to head back in March, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 34-30 score last time.

Oak Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Genoa Area, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Harbor and Maumee will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Genoa Area, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Columbian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Genoa Area's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
