Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Park Lancers vs. Crystal Lake South Gators

The Lake Park Lancers will face off against the Crystal Lake South Gators at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Lake Park came up short against Glenbard West and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Lancers in their meetings with the Hilltoppers: they've now lost six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12.

Despite the defeat, Lake Park had strong showings from Deven Townsend, who had eight digs, and Evelyn Voytek, who had 11 assists and four digs.

Meanwhile, Crystal Lake South also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Huntley by a score of 2-0.

While Crystal Lake South ultimately came up short, they really made Huntley work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-17.

Lake Park's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Crystal Lake South, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Lake Park beat Crystal Lake South 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
