Recap: Valley Mills Eagles vs. Italy Gladiators
The Valley Mills Eagles's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against Italy by a score of 32-20. That's another feather in the cap for Valley Mills, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Landry Janek and Camdyn Owen certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Janek scored nine points along with eight steals, while Owen scored four points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Owen pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Valley Mills is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Italy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.
Valley Mills will head out on the road to square off against Frost at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Frost will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Italy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rio Vista at 6:00 p.m. Rio Vista has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 27.
