Softball Recap: Hill-Murray Drops Highest Score of Season Against South St. Paul

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hill-Murray). They came out on top against the South St. Paul Packers by a score of 9-5 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Packers: they've now won six in a row.

Zoey Roberts and Jayda Mackey did most of the damage at the plate: Roberts went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Mackey went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Those runs were Roberts' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Rebel, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

Hill-Murray's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for South St. Paul, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coincidentally, Hill-Murray and South St. Paul will both be playing Simley the next time they take the field. The Pioneers will head out to face the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Packers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
