Volleyball Recap: Havana Comes Up Short

Havana lost against Cuba/Spoon River Valley back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ducks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Ducks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Havana was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cuba/Spoon River Valley work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 29-27.

Kaydi Miller paced Havana's offense, picking up six kills. Miller got some help from Lillian Porter and her 11 assists. Porter also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Erin Curless, each putting up two.

Havana's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Cuba/Spoon River Valley, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Havana didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Triopia/Virginia on the 25th. As for Cuba/Spoon River Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Elmwood on the 25th.
