Saltillo is 10-0 against Union Hill since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Saltillo Lions will host the Union Hill Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

Saltillo is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Avery just ended the team's 12-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 59-57. The contest was a 27-27 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Union Hill suffered their closest loss since January 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Sulphur Bluff by a score of 52-50.

Saltillo's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 20-11. As for Union Hill, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Saltillo didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Union Hill in their previous meeting on January 14th, but they still walked away with a 35-30 win. Does Saltillo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Union Hill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
