It was a good run, but St. Johns Country Day unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Richmond Hill Wildcats.

St. Johns Country Day got a good showing from Ethan Bissell, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Bissell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hunter Rodgers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

St. Johns Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Richmond Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season.

St. Johns Country Day will welcome Creekside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Richmond Hill, they will challenge Bishop Kenny at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
