Columbus gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Northgate Vikings 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Devils have posted since September 12, 2024.

Columbus was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (58-54), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 13-25, 15-9.

Coincidentally, Columbus and Northgate will both be playing Trinity Christian the next time they take the court. The Vikings will head out to face the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Blue Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
