After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lakeview, Maplewood was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the Harding Skippers get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory. Considering the Rockets have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Zach Suba and Coleton Logan made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Suba struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Logan struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). At the plate, Suba went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Logan went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave Suba a new career-high.

In other batting news, Maplewood got a massive performance out of Kenyan Clover, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Clover has posted since back in April of 2024. Luke Shipman was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Maplewood hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harding struck out 12 times.

Maplewood pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Harding, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Maplewood nor Harding have any future games scheduled.
