It's playoff time, and West Laurens had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 21-16 victory over the Jenkins Warriors on Friday. The win was just business as usual for the Raiders, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.

Ty Cummings had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 249 yards and two scores while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

Cummings was just one part of a punishing run game: West Laurens was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 306 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 176 rushing yards in 19 consecutive games dating back to last season.

West Laurens' record is now 13-0. As for Jenkins, with the loss, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-2.

Looking ahead, West Laurens will head out to face off against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Raiders 14.8, the Dragons 10.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Jenkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
