Basketball Game Preview: Big Valley Christian Lions vs. Linden Lions

The Big Valley Christian Lions will face off against the Linden Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Big Valley Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.4 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Big Valley Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Summerville and fell 58-56.

Despite the defeat, Big Valley Christian got top-tier performance from Titus Boone, who posted 31 points and four steals. Boone's evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Brody Bulter was another key player, putting up nine points.

Even though they lost, Big Valley Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Linden suffered their biggest loss since February 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Calaveras, falling 59-33. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Linden's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for Big Valley Christian, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-7.

Big Valley Christian came up short against Linden in their previous matchup on January 10th, falling 69-60. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Linden's Will Hubbart, who scored 35 points.
