After a string of seven wins, New Egypt's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They lost 18-0 to the St. John-Vianney Lancers. The Warriors were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Lancers' pitchers proved too tough.

New Egypt's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for St. John-Vianney, their win was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Egypt will challenge Florence Township Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. John-Vianney, they will take on Middletown South at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
