Softball Recap: Bellbrook Takes a Loss

Bellbrook fell victim to Ross and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-0. The Golden Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Abigail Hebrank (2028) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on nine hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Bellbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Ross, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellbrook will take on Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ross, they will venture away from home to face off against Colerain at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
