Basketball Recap: Chilton County Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Chilton County took on Northridge on Saturday. The Tigers had to suffer through a 78-48 loss at the hands of the Jaguars. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Chilton County lost, don't look at Cayden Meank. Despite the final result, he shot 47% from the field en route to 19 points. Meank is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last five games he's played. Marshall Thornhill was another key player, putting up nine points and six boards.

Chilton County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Northridge, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Chilton County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-46 loss against UMS-Wright Prep on the 24th. As for Northridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-40 victory against Orange Beach on the 24th.
